HLTAID009

Provide CPR

  • Adult, child, and infant CPR
  • Defibrillation (AED)
  • Unconscious casualty management
  • Recovery position

Who needs it

Anyone requiring a CPR-only renewal. Also bundled into HLTAID011, HLTAID012, and all higher units. Required annually in most workplace First Aid policies.

Duration

Half day. Online pre-learning required prior to attendance.

Certificate validity

Nationally recognised. Annual renewal strongly recommended by Safe Work Australia.

HLTAID011

Provide First Aid

  • CPR and defibrillation (HLTAID009 included)
  • Bleeding and wound management
  • Fractures, burns, and shock
  • Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
  • Asthma, diabetes, and seizure management

Who needs it

The standard workplace First Aid certificate across most industries in WA. Required by WorkSafe WA Code of Practice. Also required for certain business licences and registrations.

Full day. Online pre-learning required prior to attendance.

Certificate validity

Nationally recognised. Three-year certificate. Annual CPR renewal recommended.

HLTAID012

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

  • Anaphylaxis management and EpiPen administration
  • Asthma emergency response
  • All content from HLTAID011
  • Responding to child-specific medical emergencies

Who needs it

Mandatory for educators, coordinators, and responsible persons in childcare, ECEC, and education and care settings in WA. Required under the National Quality Framework.

Duration

Full day. Online pre-learning required prior to attendance.

Certificate validity

Nationally recognised. Three-year certificate. Annual CPR renewal required. Anaphylaxis and asthma training required annually under NQF.

HLTAID013

Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Sites

Mining, agriculture, remote workplaces Two days

  • Extended patient assessment and monitoring
  • Trauma and wound management at a remote site
  • Decision-making when emergency services are hours away
  • Improvised equipment and extended care planning
  • Communication with remote medical support

Who needs it

Workers in mining, agriculture, equestrian operations, pastoral stations, or any workplace where emergency response time exceeds 30 minutes. Common requirement in Pilbara and Kimberley operations.

Two days. Online pre-learning required prior to attendance.

HLTAID014

Provide Advanced First Aid

Mental Health in the Workplace

A practical, non-accredited session covering mental health awareness, early intervention, and supporting colleagues. Can be bundled with any HLTAID unit. Contact Britt to include this in a group booking.
