CPR training for annual renewal, workplace requirements and anyone who needs practical emergency response skills. Includes adult, child and infant CPR, AED use and DRSABCD.
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is the nationally recognised CPR unit used for annual CPR renewal and workplace compliance.
You will learn how to recognise cardiac arrest, call for help, perform CPR on adults, children and infants, and use an automated external defibrillator, known as an AED.
This unit is suitable if you only need CPR, or if you need to renew the CPR component of a current first aid certificate.
The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends CPR skills are refreshed every 12 months.
Many workplaces require annual CPR renewal even when a full first aid certificate is valid for 3 years.
If you already hold HLTAID011, HLTAID012, HLTAID013 or HLTAID014, you may still need to renew HLTAID009 each year.
HLTAID009 is for anyone who needs current CPR skills for work, volunteering, sport, care roles or personal confidence.
For people who need to keep the CPR component of their first aid certificate current.
For staff who need CPR as part of workplace safety or compliance requirements.
For gym staff, personal trainers, coaches, officials and sporting volunteers.
